CrossFit Unit is a fun-loving community that started its humble roots on 1st October 2012 with affiliation to CrossFit HQ.
CrossFit is defined as constantly varied, high-intensity functional movement. Led by Head Trainer Melvin Fu, we uphold the fundamentals and values of CrossFit.We believe that good health is key to a happy life, and CrossFit can help to achieve that. It also is versatile and scalable, whether you are just starting to work out or have been training for years, there is something for everyone.
Community is a big part of who we are as a box and we are definitely proud of the community that we have here at CrossFit Unit. Entering our doors at Box 5.0 at Kallang Wave Mall, you will be greeted by a family-like atmosphere that is encouraging and friendly. Don’t be surprised if you meet many friends for life here.

Having started CrossFit Unit in 2012, he is the man responsible for elevating CrossFit Unit from its humble beginnings in a small unit in Tai Seng to its latest iteration in Kallang Wave Mall. Always sporting his signature bum bag, Melvin is a fun-loving individual that embodies the saying “ Train Hard Play Hard”. Just don’t let him have control of the music in the box, if not we will be hearing Bruno Mars on repeat for 7 days straight.
Chief Operating Officer/ Box Manager
The man that makes our day to day operations tick. Father of 2 lovely boys, Josh bring his fathering skills to the box and makes sure all the needs of the members, aka our CFU family, are met. Prone to gout attacks, seeing him training in the gym is a rarity, so remember to buy Toto if you do see him working out.
