As we mentioned previously, everyone has different body types, and most people join a CrossFit box to get healthier, lose weight, and tone up. For anyone that is worried about getting too bulky from CrossFit training with us, or with another gym in Singapore, don’t be. As long as you train in a proper manner, do not take additional supplements for body building, or steroids/PED, then you should have nothing to worry about.
“CROSSFIT IS EXPENSIVE.”
A lot of people completely avoid trying CrossFit because they think that it’s just too expensive. The costs involved also vary. This depends on where you live and how many times a week you are looking to train. Most can expect to spend between one to two hundred dollars each month, especially in the beginning. At CrossFit Unit, safety is of the utmost priority. We train members with safety being the key factor. Athletes will be guided by our coaches in adopting the proper form when performing exercises and showing guidance to handle the various equipment . Additionally, all new members must go through mandatory CrossFit Foundation Training that we provide in order to become familiar with all the movements involved.
False information intentionally created to undermine CrossFit and produce the stigma that it is dangerous has misguided many people to believe that it is an unsafe practice. This could not be further from the truth. CrossFit is an incredible training program that will train your body in ways you never dreamed possible. If you are hoping to get into the best shape of your life, CrossFit is going to be the thing that gets you there.
The reality is that CrossFit is no more dangerous than any other form of intense physical activity. You can get hurt doing anything if you don’t use common sense. Like every training program, you must respect your own limitations and build strength and endurance before moving on to more difficult challenges. If you respect your body and focus on proper training techniques, your risk of injury reduces dramatically. “IS THERE A NEED TO FOLLOW A SPECIAL DIET?”
Most people find when they start CrossFit, they WANT to begin eating differently. What you eat affects your workout, period. What we put on the inside affects the outside. It all starts with food. That being said, you do not have to eat any certain way if you do CrossFit. You may find your body asks for a few more nutrients, as you’re asking it to do more than you were asking of it before. While we do find that eating meats and vegetables is the best fuel for your body, there are no “rules” here regarding what you can eat. We encourage healthy eating, with all things in moderation. Having a balance varied food intake is the key to longevity to life.

It’s true, once people fall in love with feeling healthy, confident and strong, they want to share that with other people. When we see that in people we love and care about, we want to help them to feel better. We feel like we’ve found the magic wand that will brighten anyone’s day.
Of course, you’ll feel like telling people about your newfound self. But that doesn’t mean the old you doesn’t exist anymore. You can still go out with friends, hang out with family, and have entire conversations that don’t mention CrossFit at all. We do it all the time.
